SunRay Scientific Wins National Innovation Challenge
for ZTACH® Anisotropic Conductive Epoxy

Eatontown, NJ – SunRay Scientific’s pressure-less anisotropic conductive epoxy, ZTACH® ACE, developed for flexible circuitry and semiconductor packaging was accepted for a Pitch and Showcase opportunity at the in-person TechConnect World Innovation Conference, June 13-15, 2022, Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD. “We are honored to recognize and showcase the winners of this Challenge and to shine a light on the early-stage innovation solving some of our nation’s most pressing crises.” said Jennifer Rocha, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, TechConnect.

“This award corroborates the confidence our established investors, partners and customers have in SunRay’s advanced materials” says Madhu Stemmermann CEO and co-founder of SunRay Scientific, Inc. Madhu will be presenting technical papers on ZTACH® ACE at TechConnect World’s co-located conference Nanotech 2022, as well as at IEEE’s ECTC’s Conference, Session 18, May 31- June 3, 2022, San Diego, CA.

ZTACH® ACE technology was invented by Bell Fellow at Lucent Technologies, Dr. Kumar Khanna. SunRay Scientific, LLC was formed to develop the product and commercialize it. After Dr. Khanna’s retirement, his daughter Madhu and son-in-law Andrew Stemmermann continued the research and development. In 2021 they re-launched the company as a C-corp. The Stemmermann Team has built-out the portfolio of conductive inks, encapsulants, epoxies and anisotropic conductive adhesives.

The timing of the award is serendipitous. SunRay Scientific is preparing for a funding round that aligns with non-dilutive investment matching from the Air Force.
